Common Name: AR Rosaefolia

AR Rosaefolia is one of many variants of Alternanthera Reineckii. This variety grows taller and have more elongated leaved when compared to the typical AR. The leaves are usually greenish brown on the surface that contrast beautifully with the striking reds on the underside. A distinguishing feature AR Rosaefolia is its white vein-like patterns. The final colorations and appearance of the plant will depend on its growing environments. High light and injected CO2 will yield a healthier and more colorful plant. Due to the bright colorations, AR Rosaefolia is commonly used for Dutch style scape, but will add a pop of color to any tank. If given an adequate transition period, AR Rosaefolia can be grown both emersed and submersed.

Notes:

  • Alternanthera provide great coverage for sensitive species and are relatively easier choices for beginners who are looking for colored aquarium plants.
  • Tissue culture plants are grown in vitro from a state of the art laboratory specialized in propagating aquatic plants. They provide the best option for those who want to ensure that absolutely zero unwanted pests are introduced into the aquarium.
  • Remove tissue culture gel before planting.  Simply wash the gel away or soak the plant in water and squeeze the gel off with your fingers.
  • Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
