Rotala Indica 'Bonsai' is a rare and hard to find plant, not to be confused with the common Rotala Indica. This plant grows much slower compared to other stem plants and may be suitable for smaller tanks. This plant is considered harder to keep and not suitable for beginners. It often melts when planted submerged so it helps to grow it emersed first
Under high lighting, CO2 and the addition of fertilizers, the tips of the stems will develop a reddish orange hue.
Remove tissue culture gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away or soak the plant in water and squeeze the gel off with your fingers.

Tissue cultures are grown immersed, so to grow plants in aquariums, the plant must make the transition to submersed forms, for most plants this isn't much, just grow new leaves of a different shape, but for some this means, completely shedding to regrow. Unfortunately Ammania sp. Bonsai is one of those plants that sheds completely which makes it even more difficult to submerge. My high tech tank couldn't do it and within a day, they melted. I would suspect that I need more light to hyper drive the growth, but then that would risk algae growth. My current tech offers, 30ppm+ CO2, and around 50umol PAR, and ample nutrients via daily dry dosing. I think pushing 100 umol might be able submerge this plant, but again it would be difficult and costly to try.
