Aptenia Cordifolia Variegata, also known as the Variegated Heartleaf Iceplant, is a beautiful ground covering terrestrial plant. Aptenia Cordifolia Variegata is known for growing into lush dense mats that stay close to the ground, reaching on average 8 inches off the ground. The thick bright green, heart-shaped leaves contrast well with the creamy-white edges. Along with its small pink to purple flowers, the Variegated Heartleaf Iceplant makes an outstanding display during the spring and summer months.The flowers will begin to bloom early spring and last until summer, attaching various pollinators like bees and butterflies.
Being part of the succulent family, the Baby Sun Rose does tolerate being in stagnant water well. Ideally the Variegated Baby Sun Rose should be watered only when the soil is completely dried. Aptenia Cordifolia Variegata can tolerate drought conditions well but does prefer partial shading to filtered sunlight.
