Description

Bucephalandra Paris is a beautiful specimen that belongs to the Bucephalandra family. It’s an easy aquatic plant that is perfect for beginner hobbyists and can be grown submerged or immersed. Like most Buce plants, Buce Paris is very slow growing and has beautiful green foliage that is turquoise-ish with a pink stem to offer some eye-catching contrast. Newer leaves are a different color and change as they mature and final coloration is dependent on the aquarium's care and water parameters. Like all Buce, this aquatic plant sprouts new leaves from long, thin rhizomes. If given proper care, Buce Paris grows densely and makes a beautiful centerpiece in a planted tank. It can be propagated by cutting the rhizome and attached to aquarium driftwood and rocks using super glue gel or thread.

Notes:

  • Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
  • Bucephalandra is an epiphytic aquatic plant. This means it can be tied or glued to driftwood or rocks and stone!
  • Final plant size and coloration is contingent on aquarium care.
  • Do not bury its rhizome. This will cause Bucephalandra to melt.
  • Please be sure to remove this plant from its pot. Remove the cotton surrounding the roots and plant into a quality substrate. For instructions on how to properly plant "potted" aquarium plants, click here.
  • CO2 injection and quality aquarium soil will yield better growth.
  • Please research appropriately to ensure your plant thrives.
