Common Name: Rotala Indica Green, Rotala Rotundifolia Green
Rotala Indica Green, commonly interchanged with Rotala Rotundifolia Green, is a beautiful aquatic stem plant that displays a bright green pop in the planted aquarium. This particular variation maintains its green hue despite parameters in the aquarium, making it a popular choice for those interested in fully green aquarium plants. Like other Rotala plants, Rotala Indica Green can be grown in both submerged and emersed conditions. When submerged in the aquarium, Rotala Indica Green's leaves become narrow and slender while its emersed form produces round, coin-shaped foliage. Rotala Indica Green is a fast grower once stablished and will require frequent trimming to maintain the desired look or to achieve a bushy look.
Propagating Rotala is like any other stem plant, simply cut the stem and replant.
