Pogostemon Helferi Platinum Aquatic Farmer Tissue Culture
Common Name: Downoi, Little Star
Pogostemon Helferi Platinum is an eye-catching variation of the classic aquatic plant, Pogostemon Helferi Downoi. Like the original plant, Helferi Platinum features elongated leaves with ruffled edges. The key difference is in the color of the plant. Normally, Pogostemon Helferi features bright green foliage, but the Platinum variation offers a nearly cream to white appearance, making it a rarity in the hobby.
Helferi Platinum can be planted as a foreground or midground plant. Regular trimming will help train it for compact growth. Given adequate time, this plant can transition to grow in both emersed and submerged conditions. When being grown emersed, high humidity will ensure optimal growth.
Notes:
- Sudden changes in growing conditions may cause melt.
