Great plant at an unbeatable price

The price is great for a plant that sells at my LFS for $20+. My plant came with 3 separate rhizomes each having well-established roots that made them very easy to plant without any adhesives. The foliage is a beautiful blue-green with no yellowing leaves. I'm very much so looking forward to seeing how it develops in my tank.

Common Name: Anubias Heterophylla Supernova, Anubias Super Nova

Anubias Heterophylla Supernova is a rarer variant that features vibrant green foliage nearly twice the standard length. Its leaves display unique venation and are slightly waved. This variation works well as both a midground and background plant due to its substantial leaf size. Similar to other Anubias species, this variant is a flowering plant that does best when affixed to solid surfaces such as wood or stones. Lighting requirements are low to moderate and providing CO2 isn't required, but can accelerate growth and fortify leaf structure. Propagation can be done by simply dividing the rhizomes for replanting. It is important to ensure that rhizomes remain above the substrate to prevent potential rotting.

Anubias Heterophylla represents the larger-leaved variety within the Anubias genus. Much like other varieties, it thrives in both aquariums and terrariums, whether fully submerged or partially emerged.

Key Features & Important Notes:

  • Anubias are strong plants that can thrive in a variety of environments. They are epiphytic and can be planted into substrate or attached to hardscape.
  • Refrain from making drastic or sudden changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters contribute to melt and rotting of aquatic plants.
  • Please be sure to remove this plant from its pot. For instructions on how to properly prep aquarium plants, click here.
  • Please research appropriately to ensure your plant thrives.
