Low recommended range, but seems ok a little higher!

"I love how sleek and easy this heater is to use and set up, despite not having any instructions. I ended up just looking at the pictures online of the Buce Plant website of the heater in action, to answer "can i pull the tape off" and "where does the clip attach" ? Online and on the box, it says the recommended range is 65-68 F, but you are able to set the target temp into the 80s F. I set up at 68F, and have since bumped it up to 73 F. It's been holding 73 F well. The box doesn't say why the recommended is lower. Maybe for expected lifetime? One difficulty i *did* have: when I first set up the heater, the temperature reading kept ticking up to much higher temps than what was actually in my tank, and would get stuck at "HH". This happened a few times, and when it did, I unplugged the heater and let it sit for some minutes before trying again. Now everything seems fine... the reading is accurate."

Tiny and digital

"Absolutely love this heater. I already had a heater on my 5 gallon tank but it was a preset heater and I like to keep my tank cooler beefcake it helps with algae. Love that this heater is so tiny, digital and also gives a current temp readout (although I'm not sure how accurate it can be because it's right near the heat source). I have only been using it a week but if it lasts, I'll be putting these into every nano tank. *the pic is just off the digital readout device"

Q&A

Hi there! I see this heater will turn off automatically if the water levels falls too low. Does it have a safety feature that turns it off when completely out of the water? Should the suction cup fail? Also, I’m curious if the 10w could heat a four gallon tank to 78°F in a room that is typically 68-70°F. I’d prefer the 20w but see it’s out of stock! Thanks 🙏
Hi Chris! Thanks for your question, we'd be happy to share more information on this heater. This heater does not have a safety feature, but does turn off if water level is low or completely out of water as it is not heating anything. The suction cup should be able to fully stick on the aquarium glass if properly installed. Regarding the 10W heating in 4 gallon tank, it can work, but it may take a bit longer for the tank to fully heat to 78°F. We hope this information helps.
