Good light but lacking features of cheaper lights.

"I bought this light to replace a cheap $25 aquarium light I purchased off of Amazon. As I'm getting further into the aquascaping hobby I felt a light upgrade was due even though I wasn't unhappy with my cheap light. I think the light has a nice design aesthetic and seems to be well built. The light produces a strong and bright beam. That being said, I realized very quickly that the cheap Amazon light's 24 hour timer with integrated sunrise/sunset feature and dimmer functions were things I couldn't live without in the morning and evenings. I also needed to purchase an external power timer for my outlet to control the light on a schedule. For a light that costs as much as this one I'm surprised that it doesn't have any of those features. I've already replaced the light with a Chihiros due to the bluetooth connectivity and app control that allows for total customization of the timer and beam. I'm going to put this light into storage and save it for a future tank that will be setup in a living space that I don't use during morning and evenings where a 24 hour sunrise/sunset feature isn't necessary.."

"The look is very sleek and cool. The metal rods are a little weird to work with, but not overly difficult. The light is very powerful and is great for my tank. Be careful of the power of the lights however because it can become hot to the touch."

Hot to the touch

"It’s hot to the touch after being run, but provides great lighting. Design defect would be two of the four bolts and nut caps dont screw on since the acrylic light stand is to thick for the nut to grab the screw threads. I’ve applied super glue so my light doesn’t fall into the tank when I’m maintenancing."

the AQUA WORX ORION 48" LED LIGHT only have white LED lights or it comes it blue, red and pink colors?
The Orion by Aqua Worx provides white bulbs. If you are interested in RGB options, check out Onyx and other LED lights on our website. :)
Just wondering if it will fit my 55g standard rimmed tank glass...
Hey Harvey! These lights will fit some rimmed aquariums but are intended for rimless tanks. We recommend double-checking the measurements of your specific aquarium before making a decision.
