This aquatic plant LED light has high PAR values and is well-suited for high-tech tanks with CO2 and fast-growing plants that require high light levels.  When used on low-tech tanks, we recommend using a dimmer to prevent algae growth.

Good light but lacking features of cheaper lights.

"I bought this light to replace a cheap $25 aquarium light I purchased off of Amazon. As I'm getting further into the aquascaping hobby I felt a light upgrade was due even though I wasn't unhappy with my cheap light. I think the light has a nice design aesthetic and seems to be well built. The light produces a strong and bright beam. That being said, I realized very quickly that the cheap Amazon light's 24 hour timer with integrated sunrise/sunset feature and dimmer functions were things I couldn't live without in the morning and evenings. I also needed to purchase an external power timer for my outlet to control the light on a schedule. For a light that costs as much as this one I'm surprised that it doesn't have any of those features. I've already replaced the light with a Chihiros due to the bluetooth connectivity and app control that allows for total customization of the timer and beam. I'm going to put this light into storage and save it for a future tank that will be setup in a living space that I don't use during morning and evenings where a 24 hour sunrise/sunset feature isn't necessary.."

"The look is very sleek and cool. The metal rods are a little weird to work with, but not overly difficult. The light is very powerful and is great for my tank. Be careful of the power of the lights however because it can become hot to the touch."

Hot to the touch

"It’s hot to the touch after being run, but provides great lighting. Design defect would be two of the four bolts and nut caps dont screw on since the acrylic light stand is to thick for the nut to grab the screw threads. I’ve applied super glue so my light doesn’t fall into the tank when I’m maintenancing."

Q&A

Hi, BP! Is this light compatible for use with a UNS tank&lid (specifically. the 5T)? My concern is whether the part of the legs that make contact with the tank overhangs too far in towards the center &/or down to allow for the use of a UNS lid. Please advise! Thank you!

Does this light work for the 7.1 gallon cube tank?

This model is not RGB and features white bulbs. For RGB options, please take a look at the Aqua Worx Onyx models.
Will it work for a 15 Gallon Fluval Flex? I modded the hood a little and its 16" across the top.
Hello, We are not familiar with the Fluval Flex. Most aquarium lights such as Aqua Worx, Twinstar and more are designed for rimless aquariums. Please reference your tanks dimensions to ensure this light will be suitable.
