If you love the tangled, branchy look of Spiderwood but want a material that doesn't feel as brittle, Amazon Wood is your prime pick. This aquarium wood is muscular, knotty, and full of dramatic twists that give an instant flooded‑rainforest vibe without a million tiny twigs. Its balanced, organic shapes mean there’s no “bad side,” so it looks natural from any angle and suits horizontal roots, vertical canopy pieces, or clean focal points. Forgiving to work with and built to last, it brings untamed character without the fragility.

Product Features & Benefits

  • With more character than a standard branch, this driftwood offers deep grooves and rugged knots that provide an immediate sense of age to your aquarium hardscape.
  • Arriving in a lighter, sandy tone, this wood transforms into a rich, darker hue once submerged, perfectly complementing the vibrant greens of aquatic mosses and ferns.
  • Its unique shapes make it equally popular for terrariums and vivariums, providing climbing structures for reptiles or amphibians.

Size Specifications

Photos provided are a representation of what you will receive. As Amazon Wood is a natural aquarium hardscape product, please expect variations in shape, weight, and character.

  • Small: 4-9 inches
  • Medium: 9-16 inches
  • Large: 15-21 inches

Preparation & Care

Driftwood is a natural product and requires a bit of prep before it’s ready for prime time.

  1. Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the piece to remove any dust or debris from transit.
  2. The Floating Phase: This aquarium driftwood is naturally buoyant and will float initially. We recommend soaking it thoroughly or boiling it. A large stone or heavy decor may be placed on top to ensure a non-waterlogged piece of wood stays submerged.
  3. Tannin Management: Like most aquarium driftwood, this will release tannins, giving your water a warm, "tea-colored" tint. This is a natural occurrence, and the effects will subside over time. If you prefer crystal-clear water, a 1–2 hour boil is the best way to fast-track the process. You can also reduce this effect through consistent water changes or through the addition of Aquario Neo Carbon Bag

Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium.

Great place to get your aquarium decor

"Every time I’ve bought wood from Buce plant they always give the best looking peices without being stingy on the size and the packaging and shipping is super fast."

Amazon wood

"I bought 5 pieces of the large Amazon wood and it was better than I expected. The wood is perfect for epiphytes I was planting. Definitely recommend this."

Worth it 100%

"Gorgeous pieces. It’s very detailed and when wet the color is a deep pretty brown. The price is much better than any physical store I can go to in San Antonio Tx. Filled in a 6 gallon tank with no lack of hardscape. Pieces seamlessly merged with some effort and thought. I would highly recommend picking up this wood for the price!"

Buce Plant driftwood

"I initially ordered driftwood for my 55 gallon aquarium from Amazon and then upon realizing that I hadn’t bought enough for the Hardscape idea I had in mind, I bought three more pieces from Buce Plant. The three pieces I got from Buce Plant are better quality and much cheaper than what I paid on Amazon. These three pieces are just beautiful. I can’t wait to place my Anubias on them . Looking forward to placing my Plant order. Ever since then anything I need for my aquarium Buce Plant is where I check first and if they don’t have it, I have to go elsewhere, but otherwise this seems to be the best place for all the equipment that I’ve bought so far. Fast shipping, reasonable prices. A+."

"Beautiful selection"

Knobby and Gnarly (that's good).

"This wood is very knobby, gnarly and twisted. It has a great look, but is a little light in color. I'm sure it will darken in time, especially with algae, moss, etc. growing on it. It's really nice wood, it just looks a little unnatural due to the light color. I'm ordering additional Pacific wood for a comparison."

"Excellent more than I expected"
