Black Star Lava Rock

Black Star Lava Rock is a highly porous volcanic rock that is similar yet different from traditional Black Lava Rock. It does not have the jagged edges of regular lava rock; this variety features a smoother, rounded, pebble-like shape that makes it a great pick for aquariums housing fish with delicate fins. On similarities, it shares the same signature gray to black porous surface as regular varieties, providing a massive surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize, and its texture makes it a perfect, supportive base for anchoring your favorite aquatic mosses, Anubias, and Bucephalandra species. This natural rock is also suitable for non-aquarium use and will work beautifully as a modern accent in terrariums, paludariums, or similar bioactive enclosures.

Stones vary in shape, size, and density. On average, pieces will range from 3-10 inches.
