Blood Stone is a rich red natural stone that stands out as one of the smoother varieties of rock available for aquascaping. Its deep red hue will contrast beautifully against plants and substrate in an aquascape. Not only does Blood Stone offer a bold aesthetic, but its smooth surface is also gentle enough for use in tanks housing fish with delicate fins. This natural rock is also suitable for non-aquarium use and will work beautifully as a striking and colorful accent in terrariums, paludariums, or similar planted enclosures.

Stones vary in shape, size, and density.

Notes:

  • If you are looking for larger stones, a minimum weight may be required. Larger stones = higher weight. Email our team if you need assistance.
  • This is a natural product and has the potential to alter water parameters slightly.
  • We recommend rinsing stones thoroughly before use to remove any natural dust or sediment.
  • Stone coloration darkens when wet.

Beautiful red rocks

"Rocks are just as pictured.. Should have fun putting them together with the driftwood and believe they'll look good with caribsea midnight river gravel"

— Jonathan C. (5/5)

"I bought Blood Stones and they were not WYSIWYG. BP selected a nice size variety of stones that allowed me to create the type of Hardscape I was wanting. Their service was prompt. Their shipping was quick. I will return to them anytime I need aquascaping materials."

LOVE this unique stone

"Stunning color when wet! I also love how the texture is both smooth and porous! BUCE PLANT employees know how to choose the perfect selection for a beautiful aquascape! Check me out on TikTok, “Man of Leisure. I use BUCE PLANT quit a bit."

— Hilario R. (5/5)

These rocks are beautiful! A

"These rocks are beautiful! A nice medium to smaller size, great to scape a smaller tank with. The red is rich and warm in tone. They are very smooth rocks, perfect for a betta tank! Thanks Buce!!"

— Holly G. (5/5)

Very Unique Inert Stone

"I've yet to see this used in a scape so grab it while it's available, it's smooth texture works well with delicate fish and the red REALLY pops when it's wet. I got 6 pieces in a 10 lbs bag, enough to scape a UNS 30c and have one fist sized rock left over. So it will definitely be pricy to use this to scape a larger tank but for Nanos, I'd totally use it again."

Q&A

Is this suitable for Discus? Does it impact ph? What other rocks you have are good for Discus? Thanks
Hi Jesus, Thank you for your question! The Blood Stone is compromised of natural minerals that can impact the pH levels in your tank. Instead we recommend an inert stone like Hakkai Stone, Dragon Stone, or Manten Stone. We hope this helps! Best Regards, Team Buce Plant
