Preparation & Care
- Inspect and remove debris: Before adding your reef rock structure to your aquarium, inspect the piece for any loose particles or debris from handling and shipping. A soft brush can be used to gently remove any excess dust from the surface.
- Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the reef rock structure with fresh water to remove any loose dust or sediment. Do not use soaps, cleaners, or chemicals, as these can be harmful to aquarium life.
- Cure before use (optional): For dry reef rock, curing before placement in an established reef aquarium is recommended. Soaking the rock in saltwater with proper circulation allows any residual organic material to break down and helps prevent potential nutrient spikes.
