Plant Profile

Let’s be honest: sometimes you just want instant gratification, and Anubias Nana Petite on Nano Driftwood is the plug-and-play piece for that. Featuring one of the smallest and most sought-after Anubias varieties neatly nestled into a piece of natural nano driftwood, this setup lets you bypass the tedious prep work completely. Just take it out of the box, drop it into your tank, and pretend that you spent time crafting an instant nano piece that adapts effortlessly to submerged aquariums and humid terrarium setups alike!

Key Features & Benefits

  • No superglue, no thread, and zero stress required to get a professional look.
  • Pre-mounted onto a compact piece of natural driftwood, making it an ideal instant centerpiece for nano tanks or an easy detail accent for larger layouts.
  • Tough, compact leaves naturally resist grazing from plant-nibbling fish and active dwarf shrimp.

Care & Planting Instructions

  • Rinse the piece in clean water and place it directly wherever you want it in your aquarium.
  • The plant is pre-secured into a hole in the wood using rockwool. Leave the rhizome exposed to the water column to ensure healthy, long-term circulation.
  • Do not bury the wood or base in substrate where the horizontal stem (rhizome) will be covered, as restricting water flow around it will cause the plant to melt and rot.
  • Avoid intense light and ensure good water flow to prevent spot algae on slow‑growing leaves.
  • CO₂ is optional but improves growth and leaf density.

Mostly happy

"All plants arrived health and green. The one drawback is that every block of wood is just a cookie cutter version of all the others. It would be better if the wood looked more natural."

Q&A

I've heard Anubias rot disease is almost always present on these types of Anubias. How do you know/can you verify that the plant is not infected?
Hi Max, Thank you for your question. To verify that Anubias Nana Petite on Nano Driftwood does not have root rot, you should inspect the roots of the plant to ensure they are firm and white or light tan in color. Please reach out to us at support@buceplant.com with additional questions. Best regards, Team Buce Plant
What is the width of driftwood? Plants get how tall? Thank you.
Hi Kelly, Thank you for your question. The width of the driftwood on the Anubias Nana Petite on Nano Driftwood ranges. The height of the plant itself could grow to be about 3-5". We hope this helps! Best Regards, Team Buce Plant
The plant is actually placed within a hole in the driftwood and there is rockwool around the roots. Do I remove the rockwool? It almost looks like if I remove it the plant will become detached.
Hi Dana, Thank you for reaching out to us. Leaving the rockwool will not be detrimental to your tank or the plants at all. The only concern with leaving the rockwool is cosmetic reason, as it may be unsightly when the rockwool pokes out. The wool can be removed and the anubias can be superglued back onto the wood. Feel free to contact us at support@buceplant.com for any questions or concerns. We are always happy to help! Best Regards, Buceplant Team
Can you remove the anubias off the driftwood it is it superglued?
Hello, The anubias is attached securely but can be removed gently.
