Common Name: Microsorum Pteropus, Java Fern, Leptochilus pteropus
Microsorum Pteropus features beautiful green leaves and texture. This plant is well-known for being extremely hardy and suitable for beginner hobbyists. While the plant will tolerate a wide variety of aquarium conditions, Java Fern plants will enjoy CO2 injection, low to moderate lighting and a regular dosing schedule.
Like other Microsorum Pteropus species, this plant can be attached directly onto driftwood, rocks or any aquarium decoration using thread or glue and it also makes the small list of plants that herbivorous fish species won't eat. This particular Microsorum comes readily attached to a small piece of nano driftwood that is ready to be plopped in your tank! Propagation is easy and straightforward; simply cut or pull apart rhizomes to be replanted.

Wow, magnificent plants
"The plants arrived in beautiful shape. They are healthy, green and lovely. The ferns attached to the wood looks fabulous in my aquariums. My new small plecos took to the wood immediately. I am so glad you sell the ferns already fixed to the wood. The other plants were all extremely healthy. I will purchase from this seller again!"

Q&A
- Hello, Very new, newbie here. Moving my fancy fantail goldfish to new tank. I've never had live plants or real decor before. While cycling new tank can I add java fern and driftwood? And do I need to do H2O2 bath prior? Thank you
- Hi LPiper, You can totally add java fern and driftwood during cycling. Doing a H2O2 bath is a great idea for removing any unwanted material from your new plants. We also recommend quarantining plants in a separate tank and performing water changes before adding to your aquarium to ensure that no unwanted chemicals make it into your tank. Thank you, Team Buce Plant
- When receiving, do you recommend doing a peroxide bath for disinfectant?
- Hi Lisa, thank you for your question. I'd be happy to assist you with this. Using a hydrogen peroxide bath can be a helpful disinfection method when receiving new plants for your aquarium. It can help remove any potential pests, algae, or unwanted organisms that may be present on the plants! I hope this information helps. If there is anything else I can assist you with, please email us at support@buceplant.com. Thank you, Team Buce Plant
- Do the sizes reference the driftwood piece or the height of the Java Fern itself?
- Hi Ant, thanks for reaching out. The sizes listed refers to the total size of both the driftwood and the Java Fern together. Hope this helps!
- How long are the drift wood pieces? I want to get some but I want to make sure I get the right size for my tank
- Hi River, Thank you for reaching out to us. Each piece of driftwood is different, so it is difficult to give an exact number. The piece range from 4-6 inches in length. Feel free to contact us at support@buceplant.com for any additional questions or concerns. We are always happy to help! Best Regards, Buceplant Team
