Fire Stone
Fire Stone is a natural volcanic rock with a highly porous texture, making it an ideal base for attaching aquatic mosses or epiphytic plants like Anubias and Bucephalandra. While it features a deep reddish-brown tone when dry, Fire Stone darkens significantly when wet, shifting its color to a glowing, rich hue reminiscent of hot embers, hence the name. Its rugged form can be broken down easily to create intricate hardscape layouts or used as a sturdy base layer to support your favorite aquarium driftwood. Fire Stone is also suitable for non-aquarium use and will work beautifully as a bold accent in terrariums, paludariums, or similar bioactive enclosures.
Stones vary in shape, size, and density. On average, pieces will range from 3-10 inches.
