Description

Buce Flamingo is another rare Bucephalandra species. Very similar in appearance to Buce Pink Lady, Buce Flamingo features vivid pink stems that follow through to the tips of its leaves that display varying shades of green and reddish tones. Like all Bucephalandra, this aquatic plant grows particularly slow and is very adaptable to a wide range of aquarium tank conditions and water parameters. Low light and clean water are a minimum, but providing CO2 is favorable and will aid in quicker growth. Growing in an upright pattern, Buce Flamingo is a beautiful specimen and is a great choice for beginners or any buce enthusiast. Buce Flamingo also has the ability to grow submerged and immersed making it suitable for aquarium, terrarium, paludarium and vivarium use. Similar to other Bucephalandra species, it can be propagated by cutting the rhizome and attaching the new portions to aquarium driftwood and rocks using super glue or thread.

Notes:

  • Bucephalandra is an epiphytic aquarium plant so it can be attached to aquarium hardscape.
  • Do not plant Bucephalandra in substrate and cover the rhizome. This will cause it to melt and rot.
  • Please be sure to remove this plant from its pot. Remove the rockwool surrounding the roots and attach to hardscape. For instructions on how to properly prep "potted" aquarium plants, click here.
  • Bucephalandra’s final size, coloration and growth rate are dependent upon the condition of the aquarium Photos are a representation of what you will receive and may vary.
  • Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
  • CO2 injection will yield better growth.
  • Please research appropriately to ensure your plant thrives.
