The UNS Drop Checker takes the guesswork out of the equation by giving you a permanent, easy-to-read, color-coded window into your tank's chemistry. Available in two sleek glass styles, it shifts colors automatically based on your water's pH fluctuations caused by dissolved gas.

The Color Guide: How to Read Your Levels

Because CO₂ drops the pH of your water as it dissolves, the indicator solution changes color to tell you exactly where you stand. Note: Readings are not instant. Please allow a minimum of 1 hour for the solution to accurately reflect your current tank levels.

• Blue (Low): Your carbon levels are too low. Your plants may stall out, allowing opportunistic algae to take hold.
• Green (Optimal): The sweet spot! Carbon levels are perfectly sufficient for lush, high-tech plant growth and safe for your livestock.
• Yellow (High): Danger zone. Your CO₂ levels are too high and are posing an immediate risk to your fish and shrimp. Turn down your regulator immediately.

• Fluid Lifespan: For maximum accuracy, we recommend replacing the indicator fluid inside the glass every 4 to 6 weeks, or whenever the solution begins to fade in color.
