Plant Profile

Show your aquarium some serious love with a seasonal piece that is guaranteed to steal hearts. We have carefully attached Christmas Moss around a durable, heart-shaped floating ring, paired with a hidden aquarium-safe substrate weight and a clear tether line to keep it floating perfectly upright in mid-water. Loved for its deep forest-green color and its signature frond-like, overlapping growth patterns that resemble pine tree branches, each heart wreath provides secure shelter where shy fish and dwarf shrimp can hide!

Key Features & Benefits

  • Upright floating heart design creates a striking mid-water portal and a stunning holiday centerpiece.
  • Adds instant three-dimensional depth and a playful swim-through channel to your tank layout with zero installation hassle.
  • The thick, cushiony moss frame forms a highly secure sanctuary that helps delicate shrimp, small fish, and tiny fry feel completely safe.

Care & Planting Instructions

  • Drop the pre-attached weighted anchor onto your substrate to let the heart float upright, adjusting the clear line length to set your perfect viewing depth.
  • Maintain a stable aquarium environment and avoid sudden, drastic changes to your water parameters to keep your moss looking vibrant and healthy.
  • Give the moss an occasional light haircut with sharp aquascaping shears to keep its shape neat, compact, and perfectly balanced.
  • Propagate your patch in seconds by saving the snipped moss pieces and tying or gluing them to hardscape elsewhere in your tank.
  • Add CO2 injection if you want to accelerate growth and unlock the most intense, eye-popping green coloration possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I keep my Heart Shaped Christmas Moss Wreath from turning brown or yellow?

Christmas Moss prefers clean, moving water and cooler temperatures (under 78°F). Browning usually occurs when organic debris gets trapped inside the dense fronds or when water temperatures run too high. Gently siphoning debris out during water changes will keep the inner growth green and healthy.

2. What is the best way to position the floating heart wreath in my tank?

The heart wreath comes equipped with a clear tether line and an aquarium-safe weight. Simply place the weight on your substrate (or hide it under your gravel layer) and adjust the line length so the heart hovers gracefully at your desired water depth.

3. How do I stop moss trimmings from spreading everywhere during maintenance?

Always turn off your filter pumps and powerheads before trimming moss. Use sharp curved shears to make clean cuts, and immediately scoop or siphon out floating cuttings so they don't take root in unwanted areas of your aquarium.

Love it

"Arrived in great shape, although the weight provided isn’t quite strong enough to prevent it from floating to the top of my tank. I wedged the weight under a rock and my shrimp love just vibin on it."

Wish it floated better but soooo cute

Beautiful and cute moss decoration BUT!

"The plants I received from Buceplant is professional and high quality as always. When I saw this, I immediately want it as part of my tank. It pretty catchy. Nothing is wrong with the moss, it’s as nice as in the picture BUT the weight that they included can’t weight down the moss. Even when I tired bury the weight in the substrate it’s still float up to the top. The moss itself have a lot of buoyancy. So be prepare to find something to anchor it down. I use quite a big stone to weight it down and bury it in the substrate. Last and the most facepalm moment because of how the current usually is in the aquarium. You won’t be seeing the heart shape! Rather the side of it most of the time. Even if you try your best to move it around the aquarium, it will always turn away from you. I guess it’s because the weight of the ribbon, I mean it’s still a heart shape looking from the back but there is a lovely ribbon in front. And we kind of want what we see is what we get, right? So overall, nice concept and creative but don’t really work out in real life."
