Mini Pellia on Stainless Steel Mesh
Plant Profile
Common Names: Mini Pellia, Riccardia Chamedryfolia, Coral Moss
Mini Pellia is a moss-t have liverwort plant that has grown in popularity and demand over the past few years. While technically not a true moss, its thick green fronds cluster together to look just like tiny underwater coral, forming a dense and beautiful cushion! We have pre-attached this premium liverwort to a 3" x 3" stainless steel mesh pad so you can instantly place a lush, heavy carpet exactly where you want it. It is an amazing, texture-rich addition to any aquascape, serving as a premium shady sanctuary or playground where dwarf shrimp and small fish can hang out.
Key Features & Benefits
- The pre-attached 3" x 3" stainless steel mesh pad sinks naturally right out of the box, saving you the hassle of using messy glues or ties.
- Its unique, coral-like growth pattern creates an ultra-dense, rolling green carpet that adds incredible visual depth and a premium modern look to your aquascape.
- The thick, padded clusters form an exceptional, safe foraging ground and cozy shelter where tiny dwarf shrimp and vulnerable fry can find protection.
Care & Planting Instructions
- Place the metal mesh pad directly onto your substrate or nestle it snugly into your hardscape where it can receive clean water circulation.
- Team Buce Plant Tip: Keep your water temperature cool, ideally below 83°F, as this species is sensitive to high heat and will experience sudden melting in warmer tanks.
- Provide moderate to high lighting to keep the growth tight, dense, and rounded; running it under lower light will cause the fronds to look branchier and less compact.
- Maintain stable water parameters and avoid rapid, drastic changes to prevent the delicate liverwort structure from melting.
- Trim the thick cushion occasionally with sharp shears to keep the shape uniform and encourage healthy, compact new growth.
