This plant grows best with moderate light and CO2 levels around 6-14ppm. For super dense growth, use high light and CO2. Bright light will yield bushy growth, while moderate light yields looser, upward growth. Once Stargrass is established it will need to be pruned, as it can grow unruly when left unchecked. This plant will tolerate substantial pruning, so you can let it grow large and dense and then trim it into a desired shape if you wish.
Propagate by trimming the ends of stems, then group several together and bury them together in the substrate. Make sure that other foliage does not cover them. Remove tissue culture gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away or soak the plant in water and squeeze the gel off with your fingers.

"Should have returned as doa but tried to save it. Received as a gelatinous mess that was shaken up to high heavens. Tips on how to do better, mark as fragile and live plants, add an option for ice pack and don't ship over the weekends to avoid sitting in a hot warehouse or cold warehouse depending on the season. Ordered this during a cool week probably in the high 60s low 70s when I received it we were getting blasted by a heatwave that melted the gel and coated the entire tissue culture and it didn't help that it was shaken about. The tissue culture companies should add a small plastic insert between the gel and plants to avoid mixing in turbulent deliveries it's a billion dollar ideal that cost fractions of a penny"
"Cups looked like someone had played hacky sack with them before boxing stems were all mixed in the gel luckily I was able to unpack them right after delivery and rinse them off before they rotted, also was a lot smaller amount of stems than I would expect from a tissue culture cup."

"I understand that the actual plants received are not the ones in the pictures but I would be embarrassed to send to a customer (especially a new and potentially repeat customer) the plants I received. The crypt parva, in particular, was basically nothing more than a few small roots in rock wool with no leaves at all. Now I see on the website that potted crypt parva is sold out so I guess I received the bottom of the barrel which should have been tossed rather than shipped to a customer. I’m usually very good about documenting things like this with pictures but I think I was too stunned to take any this time. My bad. "I was so tired of unwelcome tagalongs that I decided to go TC for this plant. This TC plant arrived in poor condition. I was so disappointed! Buce Plant made good on their word and made things right. I planted it anyway..... Most of it melted away. However, to my pleasant surprise, the tiny bits that had roots came back! No CO2, med-high light. I don't know if this plant is truly that hardy, or if it's the line they culture, or what.... but the new growth looks great."
