Plant Profile

Common Name: Anubias Nana

Let’s be honest: sometimes you just want instant gratification, and Anubias Nana Petite on Nano Driftwood is the plug-and-play piece for that. Featuring one of the smallest and most sought-after Anubias varieties neatly nestled into a piece of natural nano driftwood, this setup lets you bypass the tedious prep work completely. Just take it out of the box, drop it into your tank, take a bow, and pretend to your friends that you spent hours meticulously crafting an instant nano masterpiece. It adapts effortlessly to submerged aquariums and humid terrarium setups alike!

Key Features & Benefits

  • No superglue, no thread, and zero stress required to get a professional, hardscape-mounted look.
  • Pre-mounted onto a compact piece of natural driftwood, making it an ideal instant centerpiece for nano tanks or an easy detail accent for larger layouts.
  • Anubias Nana Petite features famously tough, compact leaves that naturally resist grazing from plant-nibbling fish and active dwarf shrimp.

Care & Planting Instructions

  • Plug and play! Gently rinse the piece in clean water and place it directly wherever you want it in your aquarium, no substrate digging or gluing necessary.
  • The plant is pre-secured into a hole in the wood using rockwool. Leave the rhizome exposed to the water column to ensure healthy, long-term circulation.
  • Do not bury the wood or base in substrate where the horizontal stem (rhizome) will be covered, as restricting water flow around it will cause the plant to melt and rot.
  • Provide low to moderate lighting and stable water conditions. Optional CO2 and liquid fertilizer will yield faster growth, but this hardy combo will happily thrive without high-tech gear.
  • Position away from intense, direct light and ensure healthy water flow to prevent slow-growing leaves from collecting unwanted spot algae.
