Labisia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Primulaceae. With several species of Labisia recognized, Labisia Sp Brown Type 2 is noted by its large, rounded leaves and varying brownish green colors. Because this plant requires high humidity levels, we recommend using it in any enclosed setup.

This species thrives in high humidity environments and should be kept in at least 70% humidity as a minimum. Final form and growth will vary depending on the environment in which they are kept. Signs humidity levels are too low may appear in the form of browning edges. Labisia typically grows fairly large so we recommend having a sizeable setup for this plant.

Challenging However Gorgeous Plant

"Despite my at least respectable tropical setup with high humitidy, rich soil, warmth, and strong LED lights, this Labisia Brown Type 2 and the Ardisia Dino are almost totally lost. A lot of this result is likely due to some missing elements on my end. But being out $60, I can't quite say it's a five star experience yet. Planning to maybe repurchase and try again. What I can definitely say in favor of this plant though is that it is really nice to look at, it arrived healthy and with full color. The size of the leaves and coloration were represented very well in the photos."
