Freshwater fish thrive when they are given an environment that they are familiar with.

Since our hardscape material is a natural material, it may take some time for it to sink in your aquarium. The time it takes for the wood to sink may take days or months. A good way to ensures spiderwood sinks is to attach it to a piece of stone. During the submerging process, spider wood will release tannins and grow a thin film of fungus. Some fish and decorative shrimp (cherry shrimp, crystal red shrimp) may consume the fungus as a source of food!
