    "I figured since it claims to be somewhat acidic it would buffer the parameters lower so I could keep certain fish but it more or less stayed the same. Other than using ro or distilled water, or using chemicals, it's more difficult to soften water than it is to harden it."

    What.....?

    "So if I have 8.2ph aquarium water(not from my tap) & I use pure will it bring it down to 7.0ph...? And the same goes for hard & soft ...if I have 8.2ph aquarium water, what will each one of these media eventually do to my 8.2ph? You definitely need more of an explanation on what each media will do, not just say its acidic, alkaline & natural!!!"

    For Shrimp and other nano fish, would you suggest pure or soft?

    Would it be ok to mix pure and soft or should I just stick to one? Also how much should I use for a 20 gal?
