The Qanvee Sponge Filter is a highly efficient, air-driven mechanical and biological filter engineered with dual media chambers for planted aquariums and breeding setups. Sponge filters are exceptionally good for shrimp tanks because they buffer flow into a gentle, controlled current while ensuring baby shrimp and fry never get sucked into the filter. Powered by an air pump, the dense foam traps floating detritus and provides a vast surface area for nitrifying bacteria.
Setup Requirement: Requires an aquarium air pump, filtration media, check valve, and standard 3/16" airline tubing (sold separately).
