Common Name: Homalomena Silver
Homalomena Silver is a new and rare plant that can only be found in the Kalimanantan part of Borneo, Indonesia. This plant is similar in apperance, shape and growth to Homalomena Humilis except the leaves are a bright green color with almost a hint of silver. The leaves can develop a fuzzy texture when grown emersed and will slowly transition to smooth and waxy once submerged for a period of time.
These plants make wonderful accents for mid- or foreground placement. Homalomena grow submersed and emersed, and happen to be a common houseplant in some variations. To propagate, cut new growth off of the rhizome and plant directly into substrate.

Gorgeous silver leaves in blue moonlight settin
"The plants all arrived well-packaged and the Anubias are doing great! The Hamalomena silver was one of my favorite plants! Unfortunately, the leaves all melted away in the first week. I’m hoping for new growth as I was very sad to see it melt away. It looks gorgeous under low light. I’m a beginner and didn’t realize I should trim away emersed growth on certain plants. Otherwise, I plan to order the silver plant again for a new tank!"
Melted
"I really love the look of this plant but it immediately melted and it has yet to bounce back, so I’m not sure if it will. I feel like I spent a lot of money on a plant that just died. Disappointed."
