Like other Aroids, Piptospatha is a flowering plant that can be grown both submerged or emersed. It prefers high flow and low to moderate light as too much lighting can cause algae with slow growers.

"Great plant! This plant grows faster then anubias and seems to have adjusted well with Co2 when I glued them to a spider wood piece I thought they would melt but the plant has held all the old leaves as well. Definitely recommend getting a tc of these from buce plant."

"I LOVE this plant. Purchased on a whim it has grown from solid dark leaves to lightly streaked leaves and the petioles are a translucent red. Tank is shallow with high light (lots of pearlweed atm) and I’ve had no issues with algae growing on the plants except one portion that was facing a window (which I since trimmed and relocated). Divided into 4 plants, might have been able to divide further but rhizomes were super matted."
