Plant Profile
Dwarf Sagittaria (Sagittaria subulata) brings that fresh‑cut‑lawn energy straight into your tank. This hobby‑favorite foreground plant adds subtle depth to your layout, but it’s versatile enough to stretch into the midground or even background of your aquascape when it’s feeling extra ambitious. Its bright green, wide blades mimic those dreamy riverbank vibes while doubling as a cozy hideout for shrimp and nano fish. It grows happily emersed or submersed, and once it matures, it can even reach the surface and pop out tiny white flowers.
Tissue Culture cups ensure your aquascape gets a super clean starting point. Lab‑grown and fully sterile, it arrives without pests, snails, duckweed, or any unwanted algae. It’s the go‑to option for anyone who wants peace of mind when adding fresh greenery to a carefully maintained setup.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why is my Dwarf Sagittaria growing tall instead of staying short?
Dwarf Sagittaria naturally grows taller in lower lighting conditions as its leaves reach upward for light. Providing stronger lighting will encourage it to stay shorter, produce shorter leaves, and spread horizontally via runners.
2. Does Dwarf Sagittaria require CO2 injection?
No, CO2 is completely optional for Dwarf Sagittaria. It is one of the easiest carpeting plants to grow in low-tech setups, though adding pressurized CO2 will significantly increase its carpeting speed and leaf density.
3. Why are the leaves on my Dwarf Sagittaria turning yellow?
Yellowing foliage is a common sign of iron or nutrient deficiency. Dwarf Sagittaria feeds heavily through its root system, so placing nutrient-rich root tabs near the plant will restore its bright green color quickly.

Reviews
"There was so much in this tissue culture cup that I had extra left over for my other nano tank! It's beautiful!"
Tissue culture is nice
"When it came it was yellow and I didn’t think it was gonna pull through, it unfortunately didn’t. But it was most likely from shipping or I got an older one. But don’t let this discourage you from tissue culture as buce will take care of you if anything happens. But tissue culture will always look good when being added as it won’t melt and get beat up like other plants adapting to underwater."
