Product Overview

Aquario Neo Solution 1 is a targeted macronutrient liquid fertilizer supplying nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium directly to the water column. Plants absorb these elements through cell walls to fuel vegetative growth and photosynthesis. It addresses macro deficiencies that cause stunted stems, slow foliage growth, and premature leaf drop.

Selecting the Right Formula (Neo Solution Guide)

Aquario Neo Solution offers four targeted formulas to match specific aquatic plant requirements and deficiencies. Use the guide below to select the ideal formula for your setup:

Formula Key Composition Primary Effect & Ideal Usage
Solution 1 Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium Promotes rapid growth; use when macronutrients are lacking or rapid growth is required.
Solution 2 Fe, B, Mo, Ca, Micros, Amino & Humic Acids Balances growth and color; ideal for pale, twisted, or distorted new leaves.
Solution K Potassium Promotes photosynthesis; ideal when leaf pinholes are observed.
Solution FE Iron Enhances vibrant colors (especially red plants) and corrects pale new leaves.

Dosing & Application Instructions

Standard Direction: Dose 2 pumps (2mL) for every 5 gallons of aquarium water every 3 days. Adjust Solution 1 application rates based on your specific aquarium setup using the reference table below*:

Aquarium Setting Solution 1 Dosage Rate
New Aquarium (<30 Days) None (Do not dose)
Normal Planted Aquarium 1 mL per 5 Gallons (50% Less)
Fast Growth Required / High Light 3 mL per 5 Gallons (50% More)
Low Light / Low Plant Mass 1 mL per 5 Gallons (50% Less)
Color Enhancement Focus 2 mL per 5 Gallons (Standard Dose)
 • *The recommended dosage assumes regular 20% minimum weekly water changes.
 • Shake well before use.
 • Do not use in dedicated dwarf shrimp breeding tanks.
 • Apply the recommended dosage every 3 days using the calibrated pump dispenser.
 • Adjust application rates upward or downward based on lighting intensity, CO2 levels, and plant biomass.
 • Perform a minimum weekly water change of twenty percent to maintain water column clarity and prevent parameter skew over time.
 • If nuisance algae appears, decrease the dosage volume and increase the frequency of consistent water changes.
 • Keep out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is Aquario Neo Solution 1 safe for freshwater dwarf shrimp?

Aquario explicitly recommends avoiding the use of Neo Solution 1 in dedicated shrimp breeding tanks, though it is safe for general planted aquariums containing ornamental fish and snails.

2. How do I prevent algae outbreaks when dosing macronutrients?

Ensure lighting levels match photosynthetic demand, perform regular 20% weekly water changes, and decrease the dosage volume immediately if opportunistic algae begins to appear in the tank.

3. How does Neo Solution 1 compare to other formulas in the Aquario Neo Solution lineup?

Aquario Neo Solution 1 provides primary macronutrients (N, P, K, Mg) to drive rapid growth, whereas Solution 2 provides essential micronutrients and amino acids, Solution K supplies targeted potassium to fix leaf pinholes, and Solution FE delivers chelated iron for deep color enhancement in red aquatic plants.

Macros

"My order came in just a few days after placing it. This plant food is great. I'm planning on doing a lean dosage and see how my plants fare. So far so good!"

Paul L. (5/5)

Probably one of the best

"Probably one of the best aquatic plant foods on market. Don’t trust the pump to measure your dosage though, personally I find it better to measure the dosage by measuring the liquid in a calibrated vessel"

Matthew D. (5/5)

Great for growing and keeping green!

"This solution helped all my plants grow more and turned them a nice green color!"

John P. (5/5)

"Works great!"

GROWTH

"This product promotes rich luscious growth in your plants and is easy to use. Go by BPs dosing recommendations and titration from there. I tried the 300mL bottle, two weeks later got the 1000mL, LoL"

dmagana (5/5)

"I’ve seen a considerable difference in my nanos. Plants look more vibrant, lush and healthy. I was never able to grow a decent MonteCarlo carpet till now. I’m getting the micro nuts next. Follow BP dosing recommendations!!"

Q&A

What does it mean when it says do not use in "shrimp-only" tanks? I have 2 Amano shrimp in a heavily planted 13 gallon tank with a light stock of tetras, should I not use this product?
Hi Dillon, Thank you for reaching out. For shrimp tanks we recommend starting with half the dose to make us that the shrimp do not have an adverse reaction. Best regards, Buceplant Team
