Blistered Driftwood Sticks

Blistered driftwood sticks are an interesting type of hardscape to use for the planted aquarium and provide a unique look that isn't commonly seen in a standard planted tank. These pieces of natural wood are straight and feature a bumpy texture that would work well when creating forest aquascapes. Alternatively, depending on the tank size, they can be placed at the base for a fallen trunk appearance. Blistered Driftwood Sticks require some creativity and are perfect for anyone who enjoys unusual hardscape in the aquarium.

Driftwood can leech tannins which can cause a slight yellow or brown tint to your water.  This is natural and the effects will reduce over time.  Boiling the wood prior to use can decrease the tannins leeching. 

Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1-2 hours to help release tannins.
