Detail Root is a versatile aquarium driftwood with a fine, root-like structure that makes it easy to add smaller details and natural texture to an aquascape. Each pack includes 20 pieces of thin, irregular natural wood that can be arranged individually or layered together to create the look of exposed roots, dense branches, or a more intricate hardscape.

Preparation & Care
Driftwood is a natural product and requires a bit of prep before it’s ready for prime time.
- Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the piece to remove any dust or debris from transit.
- The Floating Phase: Driftwood may float initially. We recommend soaking it thoroughly, boiling it, or tucking it into larger hardscape structures so the root stays submerged.
- Tannin Management: While low in tannins, a quick boil can help fast-track the sinking process and ensure your water stays crystal clear. You can also reduce this effect through consistent water changes or through the addition of Aquario Neo Carbon Bag
Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1–2 hours to help release tannins.
