We put together the perfect mix of some of our favorite easy, low tech plants for your convenience.  These beginner plants are suitable for beginners who are just starting out with planted aquariums or for those who want to keep a low maintenance aquascape. 

The Java Fern, Anubias, and Moss can be attached to wood, rock or any decoration using super glue, tying thread, or weighed down with plant weights.  The Cryptocoryne should be broken down into individual plantlets and planted into your substrate.  

You will receive 5 pots from the following list:
*No specific types can be requested, each starter pack will be chosen at random and based on availability.

5 Pack:

  • This includes at least 1 pot of each plant from the list above for a total of 5 pots.
  • Recommended for a 5-10 gallon tank (UNS 5N, 3N, 25C, 30C, 60S, 45U, 45S, 60L)  

10 Pack:

  • This includes 2 or more pots of each plant from the list above for a total of 10 pots.
  • Recommended for a 10-20 gallon tank (UNS 40C, 45U, 60U, 60S, 90L, 90LS)

15 Pack:

  • This include 3 or more pots of each type from the list above for a total of 15 pots. 
  • Recommended for a 20-30 gallon tank (UNS 60U, 90L)

"Huge, healthy plants! I got five, and all of them are thriving. My only complaint is that my plants were shipped with my 3pack of wood, and one plant got crushed but is slowly recovering. That said, damage is bound to happen in the shipping process, and it says a lot that out of five, only one was damaged and is bouncing back perfectly fine."

Do these plants need to be quarantined upon arrival?

This will be my first time using live plants. Will care instructions be included with them? Also, I noticed that only one needs to be planted in substrate and the rest can be attached to things. However, I wanted to know if these can also be planted in the substrate instead of being attached to decor? Thanks!

Rhizome plants such as the java fern and anubias can be planted into substrate but care should be taken to avoid burying the rhizome. Hello, I have a 75 gallon tank and was wondering what size package I should buy. I plan to do the dry start method for a carpeting plant so that is covered.

Whether you get 1 or 2 packs will depend on how much of your tank will be covered by a carpet. Will these plants spread around the tank or will they stay spread out/in one spot?
All of the plants in this pack will spread, but, within its general area. Cryptocoryne will spread the most as it needs to be planted in aquarium soil.
