The infamous Brownie Ghost!

This is a rare variety of Bucephalandra that has become highly sought after for its beauty and intense purple coloration.  After keeping this plant submerged over a long period of time and under the proper conditions, the newer leaves can exhibit a pinkish purple tone with white iridescent specks. 

Bucephalandra Brownie Ghost is found in a very specific remote location in Kalimantan, Borneo called Kapuas.  

It can be grown submerged or immersed. The plant is very slow growing, with new leaves sprouting from long, thin rhizomes.  It can be propagated by cutting the rhizome and attached to driftwood and rocks using super glue gel or thread.

Key Notes:

• Bucephalandra is an epiphytic aquarium plant so it can be attached to aquarium hardscape.
• Do not plant Bucephalandra in substrate and cover the rhizome. This will cause it to melt and rot.
