Chameleon Stone gets its name from its dramatic color transformation when submerged. While dry, the stone has a lighter gray appearance, but once placed underwater, it takes on a deep black color that creates a bold, high-contrast look in the aquarium.

This unique change makes Chameleon Stone an eye-catching choice for aquascapes where you want the hardscape to stand out while providing a dark backdrop for plants, shrimp, and fish. Its ability to look completely different above and below the water adds another layer of character to the aquascaping process.

Notes:

  • Each piece is naturally unique, with variations in size, shape, color, and pattern
  • Particularly effective in layouts that benefit from strong contrast
  • Rinse before use to remove loose dust and debris

Really nice looking rock

"Just a heads up, I got exactly two large stones in my 10 lb portion, which worked fine for my purposes, but if you have an especially small project in mind, it may be better to pick your own rocks, since there's no guarantee you'll get smaller pieces. It's really quite pretty stone though!"

Q&A

Looking to add stones that look like this to the 30c UNS aquarium. Are these too big? Or would Buce out some approximately sized stones with my order (lol)?
Hi Cindy, Thank you for reaching out to us. Our warehouse team do their best to pick various sized rocks to give scapers more options. The final product will ultimately be a result of what is in stock. Best regards, Buceplant Team
I got two questions: If I get a 30lb pack all those stones in a pack will be large? If I get the 20lb pack it's going to be a mix of large and small?
Hi, All stones vary in shape, size and weight so we cannot speak to the number or size of pieces that will be included in each order. If you have special requests, you may leave them and we can try to fulfill as best we can but cannot guarantee exact sizes requested.
