Cholla Driftwood Tree

Cholla Driftwood is the dried husk of the Cholla Cactus, which is commonly used in shrimp tanks. This type of natural driftwood offers coverage for shrimp and a source of bio-film that shrimp and fry enjoy to feed on. Its porous surface is great for attaching different mosses, Buce and Anubias, creating a natural look in your aquarium.

Driftwood will leech tannins into the water, causing a tea colored tint in the water. This is normal and will reduce over time. Boiling wood prior to use will reduce tannin leeching while ensuring pieces are waterlogged to prevent floating.

Photos provided are a representation of what you will receive. Cholla is a natural driftwood, colors, shape and size differences will occur and are to be expected.

• Medium: 18-24"

Important note: Cholla Wood is best suited for freshwater shrimp or small fry. Larger, curious fish or other fauna (such as a betta fish) run the risk of getting caught in holes or hollowed openings of Cholla. Please be mindful of this before placing in your aquarium.
