Cholla Driftwood Tree

Cholla Driftwood is the dried husk of the Cholla cactus and a go‑to for shrimp tanks. It provides cozy cover and grows tasty biofilm that shrimp and fry happily graze on. Its porous surface is perfect for attaching mosses, Buce, and Anubias, giving your tank a natural, lived‑in vibe (and your shrimp their very own all‑you‑can‑eat buffet).

Driftwood will leech tannins into the water, causing a tea colored tint in the water. This is normal and will reduce over time. Boiling wood before use will reduce tannin leeching while ensuring pieces are waterlogged to prevent floating.

• Medium: 18-24"

Important note: Cholla Wood is best suited for freshwater shrimp or small fry. Larger, curious fish or other fauna (such as a betta fish) run the risk of getting caught in holes or hollowed openings of Cholla. Please be mindful of this before placing it in your aquarium.
