Common Name: Crypt Spiralis 'Tiger'
Add bold texture and a natural touch to your planted tank with Cryptocoryne Spiralis 'Tiger', a striking aquarium plant characterized by its long, ribbon-like leaves adorned with tiger-like striping. Native to soft, slow-moving waters of India, this hardy Crypcotoryne plant is adaptable and can thrive in a variety of aquarium conditions, making it a versatile and visually unique choice for both beginner and experienced aquascapers. Ideal for midground to background placement, C. spiralis 'Tiger' offers height, flowing movement and beautiful contrast with its varying color palette. Intensify this aquarium plant's color by increasing lighting and providing it with quality aquarium plant nutrients, CO2 injection and good aquarium care habits. Like other crypts, this Cryptocoryne plant should be kept in a mature aquarium and allowed to establish a strong root system before moving or disturbing the plant to prevent Crypt melt!
Propagate by splitting the mother plant gently and replanting as desired. Nutrient-dense aquarium soil should be used for all Cryptocoryne plants.
Notes:
- Cryptocoryne plants prefer not to be moved once planted. If possible, do not move them!
- Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
- Please be sure to remove this plant from its pot. Remove the cotton surrounding the roots and plant into a quality substrate. For instructions on how to properly plant "potted" aquarium plants, click here.
- CO2 injection and quality aquarium soil will yield better growth.
