Extreme Holey Rock

Extreme Holey Rock takes the naturally porous look of Holey Rock to the next level, with an especially high number of holes and cavities throughout each piece. The heavily pitted surface creates a bold, rugged appearance that stands out in an aquarium hardscape.

Its unusual structure makes Extreme Holey Rock a great choice for aquascapers looking to create more intricate rock formations and dramatic visual texture. The openings throughout the rock can also be incorporated into hardscape layouts to create natural-looking gaps, crevices, and sheltered areas. As with other limestone-based rocks, Extreme Holey Rock may increase aquarium pH and water hardness.

Each piece is naturally formed, so the size, shape, color, and pattern of holes will vary.

Notes: 

• More heavily perforated than standard Holey Rock
• High variation in hole size and placement from piece to piece
• Larger cavities can create interesting negative space within a hardscape
• The porous structure can make individual pieces relatively lightweight for their size
• Limestone composition means it can contribute calcium and carbonate to the water
• May be better suited to aquariums where an increase in mineral content is acceptable
  

Extreme Holey Rock is natural limestone and may affect water chemistry. Test your aquarium water after adding the rock, particularly when keeping species that require soft or acidic water.
