When transitioning from emersed to submerged growth, plant bare stems securely into rich substrate under medium lighting and keep water parameters stable. As new growth adapts, the plant will shed its rounded, thick land leaves and sprout delicate, lace-like underwater foliage. Once new shoots reach 2 to 3 inches in length, trim away the old emersed lower growth to encourage dense, bushy branching.
