Mountain Stone

Mountain Stone is a relatively new addition to the world of aquarium hardscaping, offering a unique blend of characteristics from some of the most popular stones in the hobby. Light in coloration, this natural stone is comparable to Dragon Stone in its warm, earthy tones, yet it is exceptionally lightweight, similar to Lava Rock. Its craggy shapes and almost sand-like textures are a perfect pick for creating dramatic cliffs and high-altitude mountainous scenes. We recommend pairing this natural rock with deep green mosses and vibrant red aquatic plants to create a high-contrast look that truly pops. Mountain Stone is also suitable for non-aquarium use and will work beautifully as a weathered accent in terrariums, paludariums, or similar bioactive enclosures.
