Rotala Sp. Pearl UNS Tissue Culture
Common Name: Rotala Pearl
Rotala sp. Pearl is a delicate and colorful variation of Rotala that's well-suited for nano tanks. Under the right conditions, it can display a mix of green, purple, and pink hues. Its compact size makes it a great choice for the midground to background areas of a planted aquarium.
Like most Rotala species, sp. Pearl grows great when planted in groups and responds well to regular trimming, which encourages bushy, branching growth. Propagation is simple and can be performed by snipping along the stem and replanting. With its relatively fast growth rate, occasional maintenance is needed to keep lower leaves from being shaded. For best results, provide CO2 injection, micro and macronutrient dosing, and a nutrient-rich aquarium soil.
Notes:
- Rotala has fragile leaves! Be sure to handle with care.
- Final coloration is ultimately dependent upon the conditions this plant is kept in. This is a live plant meaning size, shape and color may vary.
- Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
- CO2 injection and quality aquarium soil will yield better growth.
- Please research appropriately to ensure your plant thrives.
