Common Name: Crypt Undulata
Crypt Undulata is a very popular Cryptocoryne that has been in the aquatic plant trade for a long time. This plant originates from the streams and rivers of Sri Lanka, where it can be found growing emersed or submerged depending on the season and location. The leaves can range from a bright green to a bronze-red color depending on growing conditions and lighting. Like other Crypts, this plant can survive a multitude of aquarium conditions but will thrive when kept in a nutrient-rich substrate along with good lighting and the addition of CO2.
Notes:
- Tissue culture plants are grown in vitro from a state of the art laboratory specialized in propagating aquatic plants. They provide the best option for those who want to ensure that absolutely zero unwanted pests are introduced into the aquarium.
- Remove tissue culture gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away or soak the plant in water and squeeze the gel off with your fingers.
- Cryptocoryne prefer not to be moved once planted. If possible, do not move them!
- Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
