Common Name: Philodendron Golden Saw
Philodendron Golden Saw is a mutation of the common saw-toothed Philodendron! This unique plant features serrated leaves that are light orange in color and slowly morph into a bright green tone as the plant matures. Because the color change is gradual, it is possible to have a specimen displaying multiple tones at one time making for a lovely view! Like other Philodendron species, P. Golden Saw is relatively hardy and will adapt to most conditions making it a favorite amongst house plant collectors. Philodendron Golden Saw works well as a standard container plant but will also work well in hanging baskets or mixed species displays. A well-aerated grow medium that retains moisture is ideal and increased humidity levels and temperatures are preferable for this Philodendron.
Propagation can be done via cuttings as long as the plant has a viable node or growth point. Humidity can be increased through the use of a humidifier, pebble tray or also by placing the plant in an enclosed container that is opened periodically for fresh air flow.
