Red Nose Shrimp are a peculiar, rare type of freshwater shrimp. Their bodies are relatively clear and feature a yellow-red stripe that runs the full length resulting in a unique appearance that isn't commonly seen. Red Nose Shrimp also make a great addition to the aquarium's clean up crew and are said to be on par with Amano shrimp in algae consumption. With proper care, freshwater shrimp have an average life span of 1-2 years. It is important to have a lower water level or aquarium lid with this variety as they are also known to be jumpers!
