Common Name: S. Repens
Staurogyne Repens is a low growing aquatic plant that originates from South America. The leaves are small, spade shaped, and light green in color. S. Repens grows compactly and if given sufficient lighting and nutrients can grow into a thick bush of green foliage. Each stem will only grow up a few inches in height. Due to its growth pattern, S. repens is commonly used as a foreground or midground plant.
S. repens is an adaptable plant that can be grown in both submerged and emersed environments. Be sure to allow adequate time for the plants to transition. High lighting and Co2 injection is necessary to keep this plant low growing. Vertical growing thin stalks are an indication of lack of lighting while yellowing leaves can mean nutrition deficiency. Thin leaves can also hint at a lack of Co2. This plant can grow quickly and require regular trimming when kept under proper conditions. Trimmings can be replanted as a form of propagation.
Notes:

- Tissue culture plants are grown in vitro from a state of the art laboratory specialized in propagating aquatic plants. They provide the best option for those who want to ensure that absolutely zero unwanted pests are introduced into the aquarium.
- Remove tissue culture gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away or soak the plant in water and squeeze the gel off with your fingers.
- Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.

Love
"Plants were great!"
Lid off the cup in shipping. Big mess.
"This came with quite a lot of stems, but the cup was open and spilled all over the box. I planted what I could and even used some of the loose leaves. I'm doing a dry start in the aquarium they're in, and theyve been planted for almost a week with lush green color and no noticeable melt that I can see. The tissue culture goop was all over the inside of the box and the other cups though. It made the whole box a gigantic mess, but I recognize that could have also been a FedEx person throwing stuff around, and its probably not your fault. The plants were healthy and I think they will still take off."
great value
"Each culture cup had TONS of plant material!"
Great quality (but needed a little replanting)
"The plants are very healthy, started growing quickly and had no melt. I had a few of them pop up out of the substrate and need replanting over the first week, but other people might have a different experience depending on substrate, how the roots were cut, etc. That being said, it’s a nice quality foreground plant with a unique look."
Very happy with purchase, healthy
"Very happy with purchase, healthy and green"
Great a month in, even without CO2!
"I love these. I'm growing them without CO2 based on another site's recommendation, and they are doing great! I was a little worried at first because the culture gel was jumbled up with the plants in shipping, but this plant didn't care and took off immediately after planting."
"Repeat purchase. Lots included. 1/4 look like cuttings not rooted."
