Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' originates from Argentina and is one of the best carpeting plants in the aquascaping hobby. When provided with ample lighting and nutrients, Monte Carlo forms a remarkably lush green carpet consisting of small, rounded, bright green leaves. It is immensely popular because it beautifully resembles the tight look of Hemianthus Callitrichoides (HC/Dwarf Baby Tears), but is far more forgiving and significantly easier to cultivate.

This variant comes pre-mounted on a heavy-duty stainless steel sheet to weigh it down and prevent pesky floating. Even better, the flexible mesh sheet can be gently bent to accommodate sloped aquascapes, rolling hills, and uneven substrates rather than just flat surfaces, offering excellent support until the plant establishes a deep root system.

• Vertical stretching or yellowing leaves typically indicate a lack of proper lighting or a nutrient deficiency, while thinning leaves hint at a lack of CO2.
• Perform regular trimmings once the plant becomes fully established and happy to ensure the lower layers continue to receive light and oxygen.
• Refrain from making drastic or sudden changes to your aquarium parameters, as unstable water conditions can contribute to plant melt and rotting.
